Leupold Binoculars

Leupold Mesa porro prism binoculars have multicoated lenses to provide enhanced image quality and twist up/twist down eyecups for use with or without spectacles.

Leupold seem to be one of the few manufacturers to be continuing to provide a good, high quality traditional porro prism binocular. The porro prism design provides more of a 3D image than the roof prism models, as the objective (front) lenses are further apart.

Leupold Mesa binoculars are rubber armoured and are supplied with a case, strap and a limited lifetime guarantee.

With 10x magnification the Leopold Mesa binoculars are ideal for most applications, whilst the 50mm objective lens gives a good bright image even in low light situations, this makes them ideal at dawn or dusk and for astronomy.

10x50 is recommended for astronomy why?

10x50 binoculars just have everything going for them for astronomy. They generally have a wide field of view which means you can get more sky into the image frame, they have a 5mm exit pupil which although not quite as wide as the human pupil allows a lot of light through the instrument to the eye. They are usually light enough to use without a tripod.

We have sold many pairs of the Leupold Mesa 10x50 to people taking up astronomy, most of them do end up buying a telescope once they have learnt their away around the night sky with binoculars.
