Swift Spotting Scopes

The Swift Reliant scopes are truly a case of "Nice things come in small packages".

The Reliant is small and light to carry and has very impressive specifications including; BaK4 prisms, fully multicoated optics which give an excellent image and it is nitrogen purged waterproof/fogproof.

The zoom mechanism is operated by turning the eyepiece (which also has a fold down eyecup for spectacle wearers), focusing is by using the wheel half way long the scope - focusing is nice and smooth, and the adjustment is in the ideal place when using the scope.

Can you fit a protective threaded filter over the front of the objective lens?

Unfortunately this is not possible on the Swift Reliant scopes.

Swift do not make/sell a stay on case for the Swift Reliant scopes.

We have tried it in cases for other scopes around the same size, but none of them fit satisfactorily.

The Swift Reliance scope we got last year from yourselves is great. Ive had many others comment on it in hides etc., and also try it out at birding sites.

It wont measure up against a scope like the Opticron HR66GA ED, but for the size, weight and less than £130 it great for overseas travel. The mag range is better than bins, and a light weight tripod or clamp will hold it no problem. It can even be hand held if you brace your elbows against say a car roof.
