The Opticron hide clamp is ideal for situations where tripods are just too big.

The jaws of the clamp open to 45mm (approximately 1.8"), enabling it to be clamped to a wide variety of surfaces.

Comes complete with; column and 3-way magnesium pan head.

eebc - Jamie 20/09/2007 10:08:43	Both the Opticron and the Cullmann (with the video head) hide clamps should comfortably take the weight of the Kowa TSN772. The Cullmann is a little bit neater to carry, but the Opticron has a longer and more adjustable column. I would probably lean towards the Opticron, but there is not much to choose between them.

eebc - Chris. 27/05/2008 13:42:59	The Opticron Hide Clamp has a standard 1/4" Whitworth thread, so it should fit most (if not all) spotting scopes. It is unlikely that the RSPB would put a non-standard thread on their scopes, so should screw onto the head.
