AndyB 21/07/2010 11:44:34 | I have an Opticron MM scope so to use this eyepiece I will need the converter to be able to put this eyepiece on my scope. Do you have this converter, if so what is the price. If I were to order these items today how soon would they be with me>
Regards Andy Brister |
eebc - Chris. 21/07/2010 12:16:44 | We do not keep the MM2 converter rings in stock, it would take us a couple of days to get one. They are £3.00
When used with a MM2 this eyepiece effective magnification is 13-39x If you ordered it today (Wednesday) with the MM2 converter ring, you would probably get it Saturday / Monday. |
Pete A 15/04/2015 14:50:09 | I have an older version of the Opticron HR 66 scope. Will this lens be suitable. The scope is about 20 years old. |
eebc - Chris 16/04/2015 10:37:46 | Yes, No, maybe
Having just spent 10 minutes on the phone to Opticron, I now have some answers. If you have a scope marked with the words WATERPROOF and NITROGEN FILLED then the eyepiece mounts are the same as the current models and the current range of eyepieces should just fit and work. If not marked as above, then as Opticron changed internal threads years back - from imperial to metric, however, this HR Zoom eyepiece uses the external thread so should fit, but there may be issues focusing on infinity. Opticron say the only way would be to try the eyepiece on the scope and see how well it works. I hope all of that makes sense. Feel free to give me a call if you need anything clarifying. |
