The new Kowa TSN770 series set a new standard for spotting scopes and make full use of recent improvements in optic technology. The Kowa TSN773 makes use of Kowa’s "Prominar" lenses to eliminate chromatic aberration.
All of the TSN770 and TSN880 series use the same eyepieces, which provide the same magnification, field of view and eye relief no matter which scope they are used on. These new scope are constructed from Magnesium alloy which is both durable and lightweight. The Kowa TSN773 has a truely excellent image quality. This is a difficult question! I have compared the two instruments mentioned, but only on a good, bright, sunny day. The sort of conditions that even the smallest/cheapest ones look good. I would say that the Kowa TSN881 provided a brighter image, but the Kowa TSN773 gave a sharper image. If I was chosing between the two, if it was going to be used in low light conditions than I would go for the TSN881, if I was mainly using it in normat daylight, I would have the Kowa TSN773. We currently have both in stock, you are welcome to come and have a look for your self (please phone or email before hand just to confirm that we still have them both!). |

A lot of our customers have tried taking photographs through scopes (despite our warnings of impending disappointment) - most have given up. Glad to hear you have persevered and got some good results. |
