Larry Harision 15/09/2007 14:11:44 | I have just received one of these as a present, and these little things are great.
It amazes me that the image is so good whilst being tiny to carry. Excellent mini-monocular! |
eebc - Jamie 15/09/2007 14:26:17 | Thank you for your comments.
The image of the Helios Pocket Spy is far better that generally expected for such a small monocular. |
Bob Brown 19/06/2010 08:16:16 | I bought this to replace a poor pair of Chinese 10 x 25s as a carry-everywhere device, tempted by the fact that these are budget copies of the classic Zeiss Turmon.
Marvellous for the price, well made and sharp. I would like to own the Docter (Zeiss Jena), but four times the price from Germany! I am very happy with these. |
eebc - Chris 19/06/2010 15:32:30 | Thank you for your comments, the Helios one has a lot of enthusiasts, as you say well made, sharp image and not expensive.
The Docter one is very nice quality, or at least it was last time I some them (which must be 10-15 years ago now). I remember thinking they were expensive at around £40, which at the time was about the same as a pair of their 8x30 binoculars. For those that want to have a look at the Docter here is a link to their website |
